I compare moving to a roller coaster....an emotional roller coaster. It is intense, it is exciting, moments you want to cry, moments you feel sick from nerves....when the ride is finally done then you can breathe. There are many reason why one must make the decision to move. Jobs, Money, Divorce, More Kids. When you have kids involved that decision can be heart wrenching. Will they be okay? Will they make new friends? Will they hate me at the end of this? Am I messing them up for the rest of their lives? As a parent, these thoughts can keep you up at night. There are several things you as a parent can do to ease the stress of moving.
Have an open dialogue about the move
Allow them to come to you with questions and talk about how they are feeling
Let them be apart of house hunting
Go visit the new house, neighborhood, schools if possible. If it is too far then get online and research the new area
Once you have moved in, get the kids room done first
Set up playdates, communication with friends they just left

To Buy or Not to BuyI would say as a realtor, the question I am asked
"John first provided us with an honest assessment of our home and an extensive presentation about the process he and EXIT Cornerstone use to market homes. He further provided pricing comps and a detailed explanation of the price he suggested we list at. John was flexible and responsive to our requests, meeting on our schedule on short notice. When we moved out-of-state after listing, John took care of every detail above and beyond what we could have imagined. He held open houses, met with inspectors, and arranged for a contractor to complete repairs. We sold our home at close to our initial asking price in a short period of time. We would highly recommend his services to anyone.
