Whatever it is you might be craving, Culpeper has a restaurant to satisfy. For a true dining experience, It’s About Thyme offers amazing French cuisine. Definitely try the pot roast….a personal favorite. You can step next door to the Thyme Deli and try a variety of pastas, sandwiches or wood oven pizzas (only $5 on Mondays!). Then there is this little thing they have called Culpeper Crack. I still have not figured out how you don’t eat the entire container in one sitting. One of my favorites is Flavor on Main. Roaring twenties themed with a menu so full of deliciousness. Awesome service too. Foti’s offers an elegant dining experience with a creative and unique menu. All of these gems are right downtown.
Having lived in Texas for a period of time, I would consider myself a somewhat expert on BBQ. I have to say that Shawn’s BBQ ranks pretty high on the list. The meats are so full of flavor and their classic BBQ sides pair perfectly with any meat you order. So I will share a little secret….they have a few items that are not on the menu. I found this out when a little lad walked by with a pile of nachos. I almost stole from a child. Finish that delicious meal off with their banana pudding.
With amazing views of the Shenandoah Mountains and short drive to DC, Culpeper has the best of both worlds. Massanutten is an hour drive and well worth the drive. We venture up often for the indoor water park. So I really do not like public pools. It is a struggle given I have four very active water loving children. But this indoor water park is awesome. Always clean and I have to admit a lot of fun. Will keep you busy for hours and will tucker out the little ones. Then there is the spa….I love spas. I love on-site child care even more. You can drop the little ones off to play at the “special kid club” while you enjoy some grown up time like wine tasting.

To Buy or Not to BuyI would say as a realtor, the question I am asked
"My wife and I just closed on our very first home this week, and I would like to thank John Fischer!
1) He is incredibly easy to work with and to get a hold of. I could call or text at any time of day and he would respond or answer. Even if he was in a showing or a closing he would text back immediately, letting me know when he would follow up.
2) He is very hard-working. We had very particular home requirements, as well as several financing snags. John cheerfully worked with us, provided excellent advice, and negotiated a good deal.
3) He goes beyond the call of duty. John shopped extensively to get us the best price on every service (inspection, additional inspection, title company, etc.) that we needed.
I will be enthusiastically recommending John to my family and friends if they need a realtor. Thank you for getting us our home!!!
